Instrumental Music

Dear Churchill Music Parents,

We are so excited to start a new school year working in person with the over 500 students participating in our instrumental and choral music ensembles. We have a wonderful slate of concerts, festivals, and other events scheduled for this year, but we need your help to give our talented students the chance to really thrive as musicians.

Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to raise nearly $25,000 to purchase new instruments for all our programs for the first time in over 10 years, including a digital piano for chorus, cello/bass racks for orchestra, a new tuba and set of brass mutes for band, and 30 acoustic guitars for studio classes. However, the music department still has considerable unmet needs since we are only allocated $9 per student per year.

We are trying to raise $25,000 this year to purchase new audio systems for our rehearsal spaces and new instruments that are not in the school budget including: cellos, a percussion workstation, a bass drum, and bass clarinets, among other needs.

We encourage you to support the WCHS Music Booster Club with a donation today. Every dollar raised by the Booster Club will go directly to our music programs, and every family that donates will receive a yard sign this spring to show their support for their WCHS musician(s). Thank you to the families who have already contributed through our initial ask at the beginning of the year.
